Sony Becomes Founding Partner of Esports World Cup, Producing Anthem, Documentaries and Gaming Products for the Event

Sony Group Corporation has signed a multi-year partnership agreement with the Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF), becoming the first partner of the Esports World Cup.

This collaboration brings Sony’s expertise in creating stunning visuals, engaging music, compelling storytelling, and state-of-the-art technology to the event, promising to take esports to the next level.

What Does This Partnership Entail?

Under this partnership, Sony’s various divisions will contribute to different aspects of the event:

  • Sony Music Entertainment will produce the official anthem for the 2024 Esports World Cup.
  • Sony Pictures Entertainment will create a behind-the-scenes documentary series, showcasing the players and games of the Esports World Cup.
  • Sony Interactive Entertainment will explore opportunities to support promising creators and talent in the region, leveraging its gaming products and entertainment expertise.

 

The Inaugural Esports World Cup 2024

The inaugural Esports World Cup 2024 is slated to take place this summer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia,

So far it has announced ten popular titles for the event:

  • Dota 2, 
  • Counter-Strike 2, 
  • Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Honor of Kings, 
  • PUBG, 
  • PUBG Mobile, 
  • Overwatch, 
  • Free Fire, 
  • Rocket League, 
  • Fortnite,
  • Rainbow Six Siege.

More games will be announced soon, ensuring a diverse and exciting lineup for esports fans worldwide.
