Finnish mobile game powerhouse, Supercell, has finally unveiled its latest title – Squad Busters – marking the company’s first global release in over five years since Brawl Stars.

Scheduled for a worldwide launch on May 29th for iOS and Android devices, Squad Busters is a highly anticipated multiplayer mobile game that has already garnered significant attention and positive reception from its early player base.

How Does Squad Busters Work?

In essence, Squad Busters is a fast-paced, multiplayer battle royale experience that brings together iconic characters from Supercell’s previous hit games, such as Clash of Clans, Brawl Stars, and Clash Royale.

The game’s premise is simple: assemble a squad of 10 players and compete against opposing teams to secure the most gems within a four-minute match.

However, the real challenge lies in the ever-changing map layouts, character lineups, and modifiers that keep each game fresh and unpredictable.

Supercell Multiverse Collide

One of the most exciting aspects of Squad Busters is the opportunity for players to witness their favorite Supercell characters from different game universes collide in epic battles.

From the Royal Ghost of Clash Royale to the iconic Loot Goblin from Clash of Clans, the game promises a nostalgic yet innovative experience for longtime Supercell fans.

Next Smash Hit for Supercell?

Supercell anticipates that Squad Busters will follow in the footsteps of its previous successful titles, such as Hay Day, Clash of Clans, Boom Beach, Clash Royale, and Brawl Stars, each of which has generated over $1 billion in lifetime revenue.

The company believes that Squad Busters also has the potential to become a “smash hit” like these titles.

Supercell CEO Ilkka Paananen expressed his enthusiasm for the game, stating,

“Our dream is to create great games that as many people as possible play for years and that are remembered forever. Huge credit to the Squad Busters team – it’s already apparent that the game has such high potential, making it our first company game launch since Brawl Stars in 2018.

A Soft Launch Fueling Excitement

The game is currently available in select regions, including Canada, Mexico, Spain, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Singapore, as of April 23rd, providing players in these areas an early opportunity to experience the game before its global launch.

The initial reception from players has been overwhelmingly positive, with pre-registrations for global audiences skyrocketing to an impressive 12 million within just three days of opening on April 26th.
