PC gaming enthusiasts recently spotted an intriguing unofficial PC port of the hit PlayStation exclusive Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 making the rounds online.
This illicit port, distributed via torrent sites, promises to bring Spidey’s latest web-slinging adventure to PCs ahead of the official port expected later this year.
However, while tempting, downloading this leaked version is extremely risky and we do not recommend it.

According to reports, the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 PC port found on torrent sites clocks in at a staggering 258 GB – nearly triple the size of the 90 GB PlayStation 5 version!
This enormous and peculiar install footprint quickly raised suspicions among the PC gaming community.

And with Insominiac leaks it’s confirmed that it is on the way this year!
While waiting eagerly for upcoming games can be torturous, it’s always smartest to only download content from trusted sources like Steam, Epic Games Store, etc.
The official port will provide the authentic Spidey experience Insomniac intended – with none of the risks.
So as tempting as it may be to download this leaked preview version, take it from your spider-sense: danger lies that way. Stay safe and swing responsibly!
The PlayStation Version Has Been Praised – Can the PC Port Web Up the Same Quality?
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 launched exclusively on PlayStation 5 in October 2023 to widespread critical acclaim, earning nominations at The Game Awards and winning PlayStation Blog’s PS5 Game of the Year.
With incredible graphics, fluid web-swinging, and a new Venom co-op mode, the PS5 version set a high bar.
Insomniac will need to pay close attention to PC optimization and enhancements to ensure this superhero sequel reaches its full potential on computers.
But Insomniac has already proven they can develop amazing PC ports before, with the original Marvel’s Spider-Man PC version reviewers called “practically flawless.”
Given their technical prowess, we expect big things when Spidey officially lands on PCs later this year!
