Rockstar’s reveal of Grand Theft Auto VI late last year gave fans a taste of the long-awaited next entry in the blockbuster open-world crime series.
But details have been sparse since the debut trailer dropped in December 2023.
One aspect of the game we have gotten a few more clues about is the music – specifically, what artists might be contributing tracks to GTA 6’s in-game radio stations.
Schoolboy Q Fuels Speculation of GTA 6 Involvement
Last week, rapper Schoolboy Q posted about the 10-year anniversary of his album Oxymoron on social media.
When a fan replied suggesting he should “drop some heat for GTA 6 radio“, Schoolboy Q responded, “Ima be on there don’t even trip.”
This interaction sparked excitement, as the rapper has contributed music to GTA V in the past.
While not an official confirmation, it hints at the possibility of his music making it into GTA VI.
T-Pain Mentions Working on GTA 6
Earlier in January, artist T-Pain mentioned during a livestream that he had to stop participating in a GTA roleplay server after “starting work on GTA 6.”
He didn’t explain the nature of his role, but it could range from an acting part to licensing his music.
T-Pain’s comments suggest he is involved with the game in some capacity.

The Music Scene of Vice City
Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online contains over 750 licensed songs across 26 different radio stations in the game.
Notable artists like Kendrick Lamar, Tyler the Creator, Weezer, The Black Keys, Blondie, Bob Marley, and Rihanna, were added to GTA 5 radio music library.
Of course, GTA VI is set in the neon-lit, Miami-inspired Vice City.
This means the perfect backdrop for an eclectic mix of music spanning pop, hip-hop, Latin, and electronic will be added.
We could hear hits from the 2020s alongside classics from the 80s that defined Vice City’s vibe in the 2002 game.
