NetEase Games, a prominent developer and publisher, has announced an impressive lineup for Gamescom 2024.

Gamescom, one of the most significant gaming events globally, is about to take place in Cologne, Germany, from August 21 to 25, 2024.

The event serves as a platform for game developers to showcase their latest projects, provide hands-on experiences, and make significant announcements.

Here’s a breakdown of the games that NetEase will showcase at Gamescom 2024:

Marvel Rivals

NetEase Games is bringing their highly anticipated 6v6 free-to-play hero shooter, Marvel Rivals, to Gamescom 2024.

This title is set to be one of the main attractions at NetEase’s booth, offering visitors a chance to experience hands-on gameplay.

The game has successfully completed its alpha testing phases, and the beta test is set to begin next week. However, the developer has not yet confirmed the release date.

Announced earlier this year, Marvel Rivals has drawn numerous comparisons to Blizzard’s Overwatch, and it’s easy to see why. Both games feature team-based combat with a diverse cast of characters, each with unique abilities and roles.

However, Marvel Rivals sets itself apart with its use of the rich Marvel Charactersdynamic environmental destruction, and the fascinating Team-Up Abilities system.

From the symbiotic chaos of Venom to the cosmic powers of Adam Warlock, players will get to test drive a variety of characters across different roles: Vanguard, Duelist, and Strategist.

But the real showstopper might be the Team-Up Abilities, allowing players to unleash devastating joint superpowers.

NetEase probably unveil new Marvel Rivals characters, power, combat, and modes beyond Convoy, Domination, and Convergence at Gamescom 2024.

FragPunk

First introduced at the Xbox Showcase 2024, FragPunk is another hero shooter from NetEase for PC and Xbox Series consoles.

Developed by Bad Guitar Studios, this 5v5 shooter is a blend of hero-based gameplay and game-changing Shard cards.

The game boasts a diverse roster of heroes called Lancers, each with their own set of three unique abilities. From the mysterious Broker to the agile Zephyr, there’s a Lancer to suit every playstyle.

But the real game-changer lies in the Shard cards system. These cards can alter everything from match length to bullet damage, ensuring that no two matches play out the same way.

While we’re still eagerly awaiting a concrete release date, Gamescom attendees will have the chance to get hands-on with FragPunk, potentially giving us our best look yet at this innovative shooter.

Once Human

Once Human, the free-to-play multiplayer open-world survival game from NetEase’s Starry Studio, is set to make a big splash at the event.

Since its PC launch on July 9, this cosmic nightmare has taken the gaming world by storm, boasting an impressive peak of over 230,000 concurrent players on Steam that even servers have struggled to handle.

With its unique blend of survival gameplay, otherworldly aesthetics, and clear influences from popular titles like V Rising and ARK: Survival Evolved, Once Human has quickly carved out its own niche in the crowded survival game market.

At Gamescom, we’re likely to get more announcements from developers probably updates, console releases, or new content for PC players.

But that’s not all, folks! NetEase might reveal the eagerly awaited mobile edition of Once Human, with a potential release date announcement at the event.

Shadows of The Damned: Hella Remastered

NetEase is bringing a blast from the past to Gamescom 2024 with Shadows of The Damned: Hella Remastered.

This cult classic from 2011 is getting a fresh coat of paint, and it’s set to make a big splash at the gaming extravaganza.

But what’s got everyone buzzing? None other than the dynamic duo of game design, Suda51, and Shinji Mikami, will be gracing the event with their presence. Talk about star power!

Originally a collaboration between Electronic Arts and Grasshopper Manufacture (now under NetEase’s umbrella), the game boasts a dream team of creators.

We’re talking Suda51 as director, Shinji Mikami (the mastermind behind Resident Evil) lending his expertise, and Akira Yamaoka (of Silent Hill fame) composing the soundtrack.

Despite a rocky development and mixed initial reviews, the game has garnered a dedicated fan base over the years.

Now, with its upcoming release on both last-gen and current-gen PlayStation and Xbox systems, a whole new generation of gamers can experience this comedic, gory, and innuendo-filled romp through the underworld.

Grasshopper Manufacture previously confirmed that the game will be released later this year, so we can expect a demo or gameplay trailer at Gamescom 2024.

Two Unannounced Titles

Besides these games, NetEase Games has revealed that it will be unveiling two brand-new titles at Gamescom 2024.

These titles might be featured during Geoff Keighley’s Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 20, which typically includes major gaming announcements like trailers and gameplay footage.

While details are scarce, the company has confirmed that attendees will have the opportunity to sample these games, suggesting playable demos will be available on the show floor.

So, mark your calendars and get ready for an action-packed week in Cologne. For more information, visit the official NetEase website. And remember to subscribe to Gaming Foodle for more news! See you at Gamescom!
