As WWE 2K24’s launch approaches, the wrestling world is buzzing with rumors and speculation about which superstars are included in the game’s roster.
One name that has been on everyone’s mind is Brock Lesnar, the former UFC Heavyweight Champion and one of the most dominant forces in WWE history.
But with legal troubles surrounding Lesnar and former WWE CEO Vince McMahon, fans are wondering if The Beast Incarnate make an appearance in the highly-anticipated title.
What’s the Deal with Brock Lesnar and WWE 2K24?
Recent reports have confirmed that Brock Lesnar will not be part of the game’s main roster, which features over 200 playable characters.
However, this doesn’t necessarily mean that he’ll be completely absent from the game.
Despite the efforts to remove Brock Lesnar from the game, his presence lingers in the form of game files and specific matches within the Showcase mode.
Showcase Mode is a popular feature in the WWE video game series that allows players to relive and recreate some of the most iconic matches and moments from WWE history.
This year’s Showcase Mode features 22 iconic WrestleMania matches spanning four decades, including several of Lesnar’s most memorable bouts, allowing players to relive his legendary performances.

- WrestleMania 30: Brock Lesnar vs. The Undertaker (Streak Match)
- WrestleMania 31: Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns
WrestleMania 30 match where he ended The Undertaker’s legendary undefeated streak is considered one of the most significant moments in WWE history, and its inclusion in WWE 2K24’s Showcase mode seems no surprise.
And his match in WM31 against Roman Reigns also important as it’s cemented Roman, the tribal chief as a top star in the company.
He is also playable in a surprise 30-man Royal Rumble match within the Showcase Mode.
Will Vince McMahon Make It Entry into Game?
While Lesnar’s potential appearance in the game is exciting news for fans, the question remains: what about Vince McMahon?
The former WWE CEO was also embroiled in legal troubles alongside Lesnar, raising doubts about his inclusion in the game.
McMahon might make a cameo appearance in certain in-game sequences, such as the Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. The Rock match at WrestleMania 17.
This match featured McMahon’s involvement, and its inclusion in the Showcase mode could mean that fans will get to witness the infamous Chairman’s antics once again.
As the investigation surrounding the lawsuit filed against Vince McMahon continues, fans of Brock Lesnar are holding onto hope that the allegations against him will be proven false.
If this were to happen, there is a possibility that Lesnar could be reinstated as a regular playable character in WWE 2K24 through a future patch.
WWE 2K24 is set to be released on March 8, 2024.
