Hollywood Icons Join the Cast of Secret Level Premiering December 2024

Blur Studio and Amazon MGM Studios have announced a star-studded cast lineup for their upcoming adult-animated anthology web series, Secret Level, inspired by popular video games, at New York Comic Con 2024 on October 20.

The show is set to premiere on December 10, 2024, and features some of the biggest names in Hollywood, including Keanu Reeves (known for John Wick) and Arnold Schwarzenegger (famed for The Terminator series). The cast also includes popular actors such as Ariana Greenblatt (Barbie), Kevin Hart (Jumanji), and Gabriel Luna (The Last of Us), among others.

First announced at Gamescom on August 20, 2024, the series will unfold over 15 episodes, each based on a separate video game. The lineup of games includes beloved classics like Armored Core, God of War, Dungeons & Dragons, and Mega Man, as well as newer titles such as Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, The Outer Worlds and Sifu, and the recently canceled game Concord.

Series creator Tim Miller, who also serves as the executive producer, previously collaborated with Blur Studio on the hit Netflix anthology series Love, Death & Robots, which has raised expectations for Secret Level. In a recent interview with Collider, Miller told how he decided which IP would be used in the series:

“We definitely had a focused group of games that we all wanted for a variety of reasons. There are the ones that we’re excited about because we played them as kids; there are ones that are huge games, and we know there would be a huge fan base to follow them. There are a lot of reasons why one could be in. So, we always knew it would be a mix of big name content that was existing, but also wanted to extend that reach to new games that are coming out.”

Blur Studio has an impressive track record in the entertainment industry, having contributed to the success of major films like Avengers: Age of Ultron, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Sonic the Hedgehog 2. The studio is also known for its work on popular video games such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Spider-Man 2, and Valorant.

Secret Level is set to premiere on Prime Video on December 10, 2024. New episodes will air weekly until January 28, 2025, giving viewers plenty of time to savor each unique story.
