The highly anticipated Esports World Cup in Riyadh just got even bigger with the addition of EA Sports FC 24 (EA FC 24).
Currently, it joins the long list of esports including:
- StarCraft 2
- Dota 2
- CS2
- Mobile Legends: Bang Bang
- Free Fire
- PUBG Mobile
- Honor of Kings
- Overwatch 2
- Street Fighter 6
With EA FC 24 now joining the lineup, it adds another massive esports title to an already stacked event.
Qualifiers and Schedule
According to the developers, DreamHack events will serve as the qualifiers to determine who makes it to the Esports World Cup EA FC 24 tournament.
DreamHack is a series of massive gaming festivals for esports, expos, expert panels, creators’ gatherings, and workshops, organized by ESL FACEIT Group.
The road will start at:
- DreamHack Dallas – at Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, Dallas, Texas – from May 31 to June 2
- DreamHack Summer – at Elmia, Jönköping, Sweden – from June 14 to 16
The top players from those events will then advance to the Esports World Cup tournament in Riyadh.
ESL FACEIT Group will reveal more details like format, prize pool, and qualified players at a later date.
The Esports World Cup organizers are expected to announce the overall prize pool as well.
Is This Part of the EA FC 24 Esports Circuit?
No, the EA FC developers made it clear this Esports World Cup tournament will be a separate, standalone event from the game’s official esports ecosystem.
EA FC 24 already has its own national leagues, world championships, and other circuits for its competitive scene.
The Esports World Cup presents a unique, additional event for elite players to compete in.
