Revenant XSpark wins the first-ever Pokémon UNITE Winter Tournament 2025 – India, securing their spot at the prestigious Pokémon UNITE Asia Champions League Finals in Japan.
In a thrilling grand final, they defeated S8UL Esports with a 2-1 victory and claimed $3,000 from the total $10,000 prize pool.
This tournament, open to all players, was organized by The Pokémon Company and managed by Indian esports organizer Skyesports. Previously both companies organized The Pokémon UNITE ACL 2025 India League, where GodLike Esports defeated 7 other Indian teams including Revenant XSpark.
Revenant XSpark Journey:
Throughout the tournament, Revenant XSpark showcased exceptional performance. They dominated the group stage, winning all three matches, and continued their impressive run in the playoffs.
In the upper bracket, they secured victories against Elites and Global Esports.
In the upper bracket final, they defeated S8UL Esports with a 2-1 scoreline.
Although S8UL Esports fought their way back through the lower bracket to set up a rematch in the grand final, Revenant XSpark repeated the history with the same 2-1 victory.
This victory was particularly significant for Revenant XSpark, as it served as redemption for their previous loss in the Pokémon UNITE ACL India League Finals. In that event, held on January 26, 2025, they had a strong performance in the group stage and directly qualified for the grand final. However, their championship hopes were dashed by GodLike Esports, who pulled off a stunning comeback by winning seven consecutive series to claim the title.
Now, both Revenant XSpark and GodLike Esports will represent India at the Pokémon UNITE Asia Champions League 2025 Finals in Japan on March 29 and 30. They will compete against 14 other top teams from across Asia, aiming for regional glory.
