Nintendo has announced that the next Nintendo Live will be coming to Sydney, Australia later this year, promising an immersive experience for fans of all ages.
What is Nintendo Live?
For those unfamiliar, Nintendo Live is an in-person gaming event organized by Nintendo, where attendees can enjoy a variety of activities revolving around the company’s popular gaming franchises.
Starting in Japan in 2018, the event skipped 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic before it made a grand return to Tokyo in 2022.
Last year, it organized its first Live event in North America, which was held in Seattle.
The event typically features hands-on gameplay sessions, live stage shows, photo opportunities, and more.
When and Where is Nintendo Live Sydney 2024?
According to Nintendo’s official AUS/NZ social media profiles, Nintendo Live Sydney 2024 will take place from August 31st to September 1st, spanning a Saturday and Sunday.
The event location in Sydney has not been revealed yet, but more details are expected to be shared in the future.

What Can Fans Expect?
While specific details are still scarce, Nintendo has provided a glimpse of what attendees can look forward to at the Sydney event. Here’s what we know so far:

The promo image released by Nintendo features a diverse range of characters, including Mario, Peach, Link, Splatoon Inklings, Animal Crossing villagers, and even Pikmin and Switch Sports representatives.
This suggests that you can expect multiple tournaments like the Super Smash Bros Championship, Mario Kart 8 Championship, and Splatoon 3 Championship.
