Starting February 22, Epic Games Store users will be able to claim Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel completely free of charge.
This is an exciting announcement, as the Epic Games Store usually only gives away one or two free games per week.
The original Fallout (1997) and Fallout 2 (1998) are considered some of the best and most influential RPGs ever created.
These games laid the groundwork for Bethesda’s hugely popular first-person Fallout titles 3 and 4 in 2008 and 2015 respectively.
Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel, released in 2001, is a spinoff of its predecessor that focuses more on turn-based combat rather than open-world exploration.
Reviews were mostly positive upon launch.
All three games are beloved by longtime fans of the franchise.
This is not the first of these titles featured for free in the Epic Game Store.
These same three Fallout games were previously given away for free in 2022.
However, at the time they were only available for one day as part of a mystery game promotion.
Beyond the original three titles, EGS has also given away Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition twice and Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition once before.
It’s likely some users missed out, so here is another opportunity to grab these classics for free!
This time it’s like to promotion of the upcoming Amazon Prime web Series Fallout releasing on April 12.
Amazon Prime Gaming is also providing free copies of the first Fallout game this month.
