Level Infinite, the publisher of the popular mobile game Honor of Kings, has announced its global esports roadmap for the 2025 season.
The plans were unveiled by James Yang, Senior Director of Global Esports Center at Level Infinite, during the recent Honor of Kings Championship 2024 final held in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The 2025 competitive season will revolve around three major international tournaments as follows:
- Honor of Kings Invitational Season 3: Scheduled for spring 2025, this tournament will kick off the global competitive season.
- Honor of Kings Midseason Invitational: Set to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as a part of the Esports World Cup, this event is a continuation of Level Infinite’s three-year partnership with EWCF. For context, the 2024 HOK tournament at the Esports World Cup featured an impressive $3 million prize pool, with China’s KPL Dream Team emerging victorious.
- Honor of Kings Championship 2025: This prestigious event will serve as the season’s conclusion, though specific details about timing and location are yet to be announced.
In addition to these global events, two new regional leagues will be established:
- HOK Major East
- HOK Major West
These divisions aim to provide more frequent competitive opportunities for teams.
Level Infinite also revealed plans to introduce a third-party tournament application page. This feature will allow external organizers to easily apply for tournament licenses, with varying levels of support provided based on the scale and nature of their events.
Another key update is the adoption of a global ban system for the game. Under this rule, champions banned during the pick/ban phases in the best-of series will remain banned for the entire series.
Overall, these announcements reflect Level Infinite’s efforts to make Honor of Kings a staple in global esports, with an engaging season lineup and infrastructure designed to support both professional and grassroots competitions worldwide.
As for the game, TiMi Studio Group is bringing popular anime Jujutsu Kaisen‘s characters into the game. This collaboration set to launch on 1 November will introduce three special character skins, Yuji Itadori as Biron, Satoro Gojo as Kongming, and an exclusive original skin called Garo: Gloweast featuring a design inspired by the Jujutsu high school uniform. Garo: Gloweast can be obtained for free through an in-game special event from 1 November to 27 November. Pre-registering for the event has already started on 26 October.
