Antstream Arcade, a popular retro gaming streaming service, is officially coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

This exciting news was first shared in mid-August 2024 during the Antstream Connect Presentation, where CEO Steve Cottam made the announcement. Although the exact launch date wasn’t confirmed during the presentation, recent reports from Game Rant suggest that PlayStation users can start enjoying Antstream Arcade from September 6, 2024.

In the meantime, you can add AntStream to their wishlists on the PlayStation Store. The PlayStation Edition of Antstream will offer two subscription plans:

  • Annual Pass: $39.99
  • Lifetime Subscription: $99.99

This PlayStation debut follows the first anniversary of Antstream Arcade’s launch on Xbox, highlighting the service’s ongoing expansion.

Currently, Antstream Arcade is available on various devices, including mobile phones through the Google Play Store and iOS App Store, as well as Samsung TVs.

PC users can also access the service via Antstream’s official website or the Epic Games Store. However, it is not available on Steam and listed as “coming soon” since October 2022.

What sets Antstream apart is its unique collection of retro games from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, many of which are hard to find elsewhere.

With a total of 1,436 games available to stream, Antstream’s extensive catalog includes everything from early systems like the Atari 2600 to SNES. Here’s a breakdown of the platforms and the number of games available:

  • Commodore 64: 358 games
  • ZX Spectrum: 351 games
  • Arcade Machines: 293 games
  • Amiga: 201 games
  • Genesis: 57 games
  • SNES: 42 games
