After the massive success of Fallout, Prime Video is bringing another series based on video games. This new series, called Secret Level, is an adult-animated anthology that will feature 15 short episodes inspired by 15+ popular video games.
The announcement of the show was made during the Gamescom Opening Night Live by the creative team behind Netflix’s acclaimed series Love, Death & Robots.
Set to premiere on December 10, Secret Level will blend legendary classics like Warhammer 40,000 and God of War with newer titles like Concord, and Sifu creating unique, animated stories.
The full list of games involved in the first season includes:
- Armored Core
- Concord
- Crossfire
- Dungeons & Dragons
- Exodus
- Honor of Kings
- Mega Man
- New World: Aeternum
- PAC-MAN
- Sifu
- Spelunky
- The Outer Worlds
- Unreal Tournament
- Warhammer 40,000
- One episode is specifically just for “various” PlayStation IPs
While specific details about individual episodes remain under wraps, Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios, assures that each installment will take viewers on a “brand new journey with breathtaking animation and imaginative storytelling.” Fans can likely expect a mix of action, humor, and perhaps even some emotional depth, similar to what we see in Love, Death & Robots.

Who Is Behind Secret Level?
Produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Blur Studio, Secret Level is created and executive produced by Tim Miller, with Dave Wilson serving as executive producer and supervising director.
Miller, who co-created Love, Death & Robots with renowned filmmaker David Fincher, has once again teamed up with Blur Studio to develop this series.

Why Should Gamers Be Excited About Secret Level?
Video game adaptations have been hit or miss in the past, but recent years have seen a surge in successful adaptations across both movies and TV.
At the forefront of this trend are projects like The Last of Us, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Arcane, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Fallout, and special mention Borderlands (LoL just kidding).
Secret Level aims to continue this trend by bringing together more game IPs in a single series than ever before. What sets Secret Level apart is its anthology format, where each episode is a self-contained story set in a different game universe.
There are also rumors swirling about Amazon working on more game-related projects, including a series based on God of War and a Warhammer 40,000 movie starring Henry Cavill.
Meanwhile, Arcane, based on League of Legends lore, is all set to return with its second season on Netflix in November.
