The 6th week of the Esports World Cup 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, concluded with thrilling victories across three major esports titles: “Fortnite,” “Street Fighter 6,” and “Teamfight Tactics.”
From August 6 to August 12, fans witnessed intense battles and the crowning of new champions.
Let’s dive into the highlights of each competition at EWC.
1) Fortnite: XSET Takes the Crown
In the “Fortnite” tournament, held at the Amazon Arena, American team XSET emerged victorious in a best-of-seven (BO7) grand finale, defeating fellow Americans Exceed with a score of 4:2.
XSET walked away with the grand prize of $400,000 and 1,000 club points.
Ritual from XSET was named MVP, earning an additional $50,000 for his outstanding performance.
The EWC Fortnite tournament featured 16 top Fortnite teams divided into four groups, with the top two from each group advancing to the Playoffs. The group stage matches were best-of-five, while the Playoffs were best-of-seven. Check Full Results Here.

2) Street Fighter 6: Xiao Hai Dominates
The Street Fighter 6 competition, held at Qiddiyah Arena, saw fierce battles among the world’s best.
Xiao Hai from China claimed the championship by defeating Japan’s Kawano with a 5:2 victory in the final. Xiao Hai earned $300,000 and 1,000 club points for his impressive win.
This EWC SF6 tournament featured 32 of the best players, with the top two from each of the eight groups advancing to the second phase. The final phase was a single-elimination best-of-nine format, where Xiao Hai’s skills shone the brightest. Check Full Results Here.

3) Teamfight Tactics: Wolves Esports Secures Victory
In Teamfight Tactics, hosted at stc Arena, Chinese side Wolves Esports emerged as the champions, defeating Korean powerhouse T1 with a 3:1 victory in the grand final.
Wolves Esports earned 1,000 Club Championship points and took home $200,000 from the $550,000 prize pool.
LiShao of Wolves was named MVP, securing an additional $50,000 for his outstanding performance.
The EWC TFT tournament brought together 16 top teams from around the world, with the top two from each group advancing to the Playoffs. The grand final showcased Wolves Esports’ strategic prowess in a best-of-five showdown. Check Full Results Here.
