Are you ready to rumble in the world of Call of Duty? After a brief tease on July 12, Activision has finally unveiled an exciting event that’s about to shake up both the gaming and wrestling worlds.
The upcoming Season 5 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and Warzone is bringing the electrifying energy of WWE to the battlefield.
Let’s dive into the details and explore this unprecedented collaboration.
Who Are the WWE Superstars Coming to Call of Duty?
Activision has revealed that three of WWE’s biggest names will be making their way to Call of Duty:
- Cody Rhodes – The reigning WWE Champion
- Rhea Ripley – Former Women’s World Champion
- Rey Mysterio – A legendary luchador and multitime WWE Chapions
These superstars aren’t just making cameo appearances; they’re becoming fully playable Operators in both Modern Warfare III and Warzone.
This means you’ll be able to take control of your favorite WWE personality as you battle it out in intense multiplayer matches or high-stakes battle royale showdowns.

How Can You Unlock the WWE Operators?
Wondering how to get your hands on these wrestling-themed skins? Here’s the breakdown:
- Rhea Ripley will be available through the Season 5 Battle Pass, launching on July 24th.
- Cody Rhodes and Rey Mysterio will be purchasable through their respective Tracer Packs in the Call of Duty in-game store.
But wait, there’s more! The Rhodes and Mysterio packs will include extra goodies like unique weapon designs, charms, and other cool items that celebrate these WWE icons.
What Special Events and Game Modes Are Coming with the WWE Crossover?
Activision isn’t stopping at character skins. As WWE’s biggest event of summer, SummerSlam is approaching, they’re going all out to bring the WWE experience into Call of Duty gameplay:
- Slam Deathmatch: A new variant/mode of Team Deathmatch where players must perform a WWE finisher move to fully eliminate opponents.
- WWE SummerSlam Event: Running from July 31st to August 7th, this limited-time event will bring additional WWE-themed content to the game.
- Heavyweight Badges: Players can earn these special badges through weekly events and trade them for exclusive cosmetic items in the Event Store.
If you’ve been taking a break from Call of Duty, the WWE crossover might just be the perfect excuse to dust off your controller.
