EURO CLASH 2024: FACEIT Hosts Pan-European CS2 Showdown Featuring 24 Nations

FACEIT is starting a new esports tournament for European CS2 players similar to the EURO football tournament.

The tournament called EURO CLASH 2024 will be a pan-European Counter-Strike 2 competition featuring 24 European nations competing for 10 million FACEIT Points.

How Does the Tournament Format Work?

EURO CLASH 2024 kicks off on July 18th and runs until July 28th. FACEIT has introduced an innovative format for it which aligns with the tournament’s concept:

Clash Phase (July 18-25):

• Players can join their country’s clans and form five-person lobbies.
• They will compete in the FACEIT EU matchmaking system.
• Some countries will have two clans.
• Wins gain 15 points, while losses deduct 14 points.

Playoffs (July 27-28):

• Only the top 8 clans will advance to playoffs.
• Each qualifying clan will select its best 5 players to represent their country
• It will be single-elimination best-of-three matches.

Participating Countries and their Clans:

Many well-known CS2 teams are participating in EURO CLASH 2024. Some examples are BIG, Endpoint, and Movistar. There are also new teams joining.

Note: Some countries can have two clans. For example, Ukraine, Slovenia, Romania, and Poland each have two clans.

According to FACEIT, it will “ensure fairness to existing and active FACEIT clans.”

Prizes Pool and Distribution:

The top 8 clans will get a share in the 10,000,000 FACEIT Points (virtual currency) prize pool.

• Winner: 4,000,000 FACEIT Points
• Runner Up: 2,000,000 FACEIT Points
• 3rd and 4th: 1,000,000 FACEIT Points
• 5th to 8th: 500,000 FACEIT Points

Clans can use these FACEIT Points in different ways after the event. They might use them for leaderboards or tournaments. Players can also spend FACEIT Points on various items in the FACEIT shop, it’s up to them.
