In an exciting move, GOG Games has partnered with Amazon Luna to make its select DRM-free titles available for cloud gaming.

This means that you’ll soon be able to enjoy your favorite GOG games on Luna, without the hassle of downloading and installing them on your local machine.

How Does This Partnership Work?

Once the integration is live, you’ll be able to access your GOG library directly through the Amazon Luna client.

And the best part? Your cloud saves and achievements will seamlessly sync across both platforms, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted gaming experience.

But wait, there’s more! Not only can you play your existing GOG games on Luna, but you’ll also have the option to purchase new titles directly from the Luna client.

Any new purchases will automatically appear in your GOG library, making it a breeze to manage your ever-growing game collection.

About Amazon Luna

For those unfamiliar with Amazon Luna, it’s a cloud gaming service that allows you to stream games directly to your devices without the need for a high-end gaming rig.

Currently available in the US, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain, Luna can be accessed on a wide range of devices, including PCs, Macs, iOS, Android, Fire tablets, Fire TV, and select LG and Samsung Smart TVs.

Instead of buying individual games, it operates on a subscription model.

The Luna+ subscription, priced at $9.99/£8.99 per month, grants access to over 100 games, including popular titles like Resident Evil 2 and 3 remakes, Control Ultimate Edition, Sonic Mania, Tetris Effect, and Yakuza Kiwami 1 and 2.

Additionally, you can subscribe to Ubisoft+ for $17.99/£14.99 or Jackbox Games for $4.99/£3.99 per month, expanding your gaming options even further.

Luna also supports a wide range of input devices, allowing you to play games your way.

You can use the official Amazon Luna controller, various third-party controllers like Xbox One and PS4 pads, or even your phone as a controller for select games.

And if you prefer the good old mouse and keyboard setup, Luna’s got you covered there too.

About GOG Games

Started in 2008, GOG (Good Old Games) is a digital distribution platform that is renowned for its vast collection of classic and retro games, ranging from iconic titles from the ’90s and early 2000s to beloved cult favorites.

It works on DRM-Free Philosophy which means it is free from any Digital Rights Management (DRM) restrictions. This ensures that gamers have complete ownership and control over the games they purchase, allowing them to install, backup, and play their games without any limitations or online authentication/key requirements.

In addition to classic titles, GOG also supports and promotes indie games from smaller studios and independent developers, providing them with a platform to reach a wider audience and distribute their DRM-free games.

While GOG initially focused on PC games, they have since expanded their offerings to include games for macOS and Linux, catering to a broader range of gamers and operating systems.
