Ubisoft recently revealed some exciting news about the release windows for two of their biggest upcoming games – Assassin’s Creed Codename Red and Star Wars Outlaws.
During a recent earnings call, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot provided new details on when fans can expect these highly anticipated titles.
Assassin’s Creed Codename Red Launching By March 2025
While an exact release date remains unclear, Guillemot confirmed that the next mainline Assassin’s Creed game is slated to launch between April 2024 and March 2025.
This falls in line with Ubisoft’s fiscal year 2025 timeline.
Codename Red was first teased back in September 2022 and is expected to be part of Ubisoft’s new Assassin’s Creed Infinity platform.
Little is known about Assassin’s Creed Codename Red except for its name and its “feudal Japan” setting.
Guillemot promised more details would be revealed in the future.
Rumors suggest Codename Red will feature two playable characters, fulfilling fan demand for a Japanese AC game.
Star Wars Outlaws Arriving By End of 2024
While Assassin’s Creed fans may need to wait a bit longer, Star Wars fans can look forward to Outlaws by the end of 2024.
Guillemot called Outlaws a “major milestone” as the first open-world Star Wars game.
The title made a big splash when it debuted at Summer Game Fest 2023, with exciting trailers showing off the smuggler lifestyle.
Outlaws aims to capture the Han Solo fantasy of dodging the Empire and engaging in criminal mischief.
As an open-world first for Star Wars, expectations are high for Outlaws to deliver an immersive space scoundrel experience.
While concrete details are still limited, Ubisoft’s timeline provides a clearer picture of when fans can dive into these highly anticipated worlds.
The next year promises to be an exciting one as more details emerge for Assassin’s Creed’s long-rumored Japanese setting and Star Wars’ first foray into open-world gaming.
