What Gameplay Enhancements Can You Expect?
One of the biggest draws of New Game+ is the ability to replay missions with a fresh challenge.
That’s right, Spider-fans – you’ll be able to tackle those iconic battles on a harder difficulty setting.
But that’s not all! Insomniac is throwing in some sweet new gameplay mechanics to keep you on your toes:
- Ultimate Levels: Push your skills to the limit with these ultra-demanding combat scenarios.
- Golden Gadget Styles: Give your web-slinging arsenal a vibrant, shiny makeover.
- And more yet-to-be-revealed tweaks to amp up the excitement!
How About Stylish New Suits?
You know Spider-Man is all about looking good while kicking bad-guy butt.
This update will web-swing several fresh suit styles into the mix, including:
- New symbiote suit variants for Peter Parker’s darker looks.
- The sleek “Hellfire Gala” suit for both Peter and Miles Morales.
- Plus, the ability to change the in-game time of day for your ultimate photo ops!
What Other Surprises Await?
Insomniac is pulling out all the stops to make this the ultimate Spider-Man experience.
Here’s what else we know so far:
- The special “Fly N’ Fresh” suit pack inspired by 90s fashion. It will be available for $4.99 from March 7 – April 5, with all proceeds (up to $1 million) donated to support Gameheads’ mission of empowering underprivileged youth in the gaming industry.
- Photo Mode – This update brings an action figure mode and new sticker options to take your in-game photography to the next level.
- Improves accessibility with new audio descriptions, screen reader functionality, cinematic captions, high contrast outlines, and more options still.
- More highly requested fan features still under wraps.
With such an impressive lineup of new content, it’s no wonder Insomniac delayed the update’s initial 2023 target.
According to the devs, they “require more testing to ensure the quality is up to our standards.”
