PUBG: Blindspot Announced – Demo Release Date, Gameplay Details, and More

PUBG: Blindspot

Krafton, the renowned South Korean video game developer, has officially unveiled its latest project, previously known as Project Arc, now titled PUBG: Blindspot.

The game introduces an innovative 5v5 team-based format with a unique top-down perspective, drawing interesting parallels to the tactical depth found in games like Rainbow Six: Siege. Early playtest sessions conducted in 2024 have already generated positive feedback from gaming industry veterans who praised the game’s fresh take on tactical combat.

The naming choice also carries significant meaning, as explained by PUBG Studios in their recent press statement: “The ‘PUBG’ prefix demonstrates our commitment to genre expansion, while ‘Blindspot’ reflects the game’s core mechanics of vision-based tactical gameplay.”

According to Krafton, a public demo will be available on Steam from February 21 to March 3, coinciding with Steam Next Fest. This testing period will serve as a crucial feedback-gathering phase, allowing developers to fine-tune the experience based on player input.

Adding star power to the announcement, Matt “Kickstart” Smith, a renowned figure in the PUBG esports scene, features in the game’s latest trailer. The footage showcases the intense Demolition Mode, where strategic thinking meets precise gunplay in fast-paced matches.

While the final release date remains under wraps, the game’s Steam page is now live for those seeking additional information about this exciting new entry in the PUBG franchise.
