PGL Dota 2 Roadmap Revealed: A Marathon of $1 Million Tournaments in 2024-2026

If you thought 2023 was huge for Dota 2 esports, just wait until you see what’s coming!

PGL has unveiled an incredible roadmap packed with several $1 million tournaments spanning the next three years. Let’s dive into the juicy details.

PGL $1 Million Dota 2 Tournaments Roadmap

In 2024 alone, PGL is hosting two massive LAN events, each with a $1 million prize pool:

PGL Wallachia (May 10-19, Bucharest)

  • Qualifiers: March 21-28

PGL Tournament #2 (Nov 15-24, venue TBA)

  • Qualifiers: Sept 29 – Oct 6

But that’s just the beginning! The PGL roadmap extends into 2025 with three $1 million tournaments:

2025 Tournament #1 (March 6-15)

  • Qualifiers: Jan 5-12

2025 Tournament #2 (April 18-27)

  • Qualifiers: March 23-30

2025 Tournament #3 (Nov 7-16)

  • Qualifiers: Sept 21-28

And in 2026, the carnage continues with another trio of $1 million PGL Dota 2 events:

2026 Tournament #1 (March 6-15)

  • Qualifiers: Jan 4-11

2026 Tournament #2 (April 17-26)

  • Qualifiers: March 22-29

2026 Tournament #3 (Nov 6-15)

  • Qualifiers: Sept 27-Oct 4

Why is This PGL Move So Massive?

Having so many premier $1 million+ tournaments is unprecedented in Dota 2 history.

It provides incredible opportunities for pros to secure big paydays and cement PGL as a leading tournament organizer.

But more importantly, for fans, it means more high-stakes, electrifying Dota action to enjoy throughout the year. No more waiting months between events!

PGL’s roadmap is joined by other giants like ESL, DreamLeague, and BetBoom who are also hosting major tournaments in 2024 like:

  • BetBoom Dacha Dubai (completed)
  • DreamLeague Season 22 (ongoing)
  • ESL One Birmingham (April 22-28)
  • DreamLeague Season 23 (May 20-26)
  • Esports World Cup (July)
  • BetBoom Dacha 2nd Edition (Oct 4-15)
  • DreamLeague Season 24 (Oct 27-Nov 10)
  • ESL One Asia (Dec 9-15)

And of course, the biggest one of all – The International – also returns at a TBA date!

ESB and Qatar Esports Federation also jointly host three biggies:

  • Tour #1 (April 3 – 14)
  • Tour #2 (July 22 – August 4)
  • Tour #3 (Nov 26 – Dec 6)
