All Qualified Teams

The Regional Major Ranking (RMR) events serve as the qualifiers for the PGL Copenhagen Major. 

It will feature 24 teams from three regions – Europe, the Americas, and Asia-Pacific – who have earned their spots through these RMR tournaments.

European Qualifiers

Europe will have a strong representation at the Major, with 17 teams securing their places through the RMR events.

What is the tournament format?

The Copenhagen Major follows a multi-stage format, ensuring a thrilling and competitive journey for all participating teams.

The PGL Copenhagen Major kicks off on March 17 and will continue till the end of the month.

Stage 1: Opening Stage (March 17-20)

  • 16-team Swiss System format
  • Elimination and advancement matches are best-of-three (bo3)
  • All other matches are best-of-one (bo1)
  • The top 8 teams advance to the Elimination Stage
  • The bottom 8 teams are eliminated

Stage 2: Elimination Stage (March 21-24, 2024)

  • 16-team Swiss System format
  • Elimination and advancement matches are bo3
  • All other matches are bo1
  • The top 8 teams advance to the Playoffs
  • The bottom 8 teams are eliminated

Stage 3: Playoffs (March 28-31, 2024)

  • Single-elimination bracket
  • All matches are bo3

Prize Pool

The PGL CS2 Copenhagen Major boasts an impressive prize pool of $1,250,000.

The team that emerges victorious will not only be rewarded with a whopping $500,000 but also secure a direct ticket to the highly prestigious BLAST Premier World Final.

Here is the complete prize distribution:

  • 1st – $500,000 + direct ticket to BLAST Premier World Final 
  • 2nd – $170,000
  • 3rd-4th – $80,000
  • 5th-8th – $45,000
