MOONTON Games Unveils 2025 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Esports Roadmap

MLBB

MOONTON Games has announced its esports roadmap for 2025, revealing the schedule for its flagship tournaments and highlighting key third-party events. The announcement was made during the M6 Summit, an industry conference held in Malaysia, where the developer outlined plans for the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) competitive scene.

Key Highlights of the 2025 Esports Calendar

The roadmap centers on MOONTON’s two major international events: the MLBB Mid-Season Cup (MSC) and the M World Championship. However, in a notable change, the M7 World Championship will not take place in 2025. Instead, the tournament is set to return in January 2026.

For 2025, the MSC is scheduled to occur between mid-July and early August, while another prominent competition will close the year. Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is set to feature in the 33rd Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Thailand in December 2025. This event will include MLBB as a medaled competition for both men’s and women’s categories, ensuring its continued presence on the global stage.

Third-Party and Regional Competitions

MOONTON Games also emphasized the importance of third-party tournaments in the esports calendar. The Snapdragon Pro Series, organized by ESL FACEIT Group and Qualcomm, remains a key part of the MLBB competitive ecosystem.

Regional competitions will continue with the MLBB Professional League (MPL), held twice a year. Currently, official MPL circuits are established in Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, LATAM, and MENA. The game also expanded into China in 2024 following its official approval, with the Chinese league now becoming a vital part of the ecosystem.

MLBB’s Global Reach and Future Goals

MLBB’s growth was highlighted by its global reach at the M6 World Championship, which saw teams from regions such as CIS, North America, Turkey, and Myanmar compete. Mike Chu, Head of Regional Esports & China at MOONTON Games, remarked:
“MLBB’s global expansion continued in 2024 with the establishment of the Chinese league. We are excited to witness one of the world’s gaming powerhouses test their strength in the MLBB esports ecosystem.”

Partnership to Boost Esports in Jordan

As part of its efforts to grow the MLBB esports scene, MOONTON Games signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Jordan Esports Federation (JEF) during the M6 Summit. The partnership aims to strengthen Jordan’s gaming and esports ecosystem through collaborative events and educational programs.
