Level Infinite, Tencent’s global gaming brand, joins forces with Saudi Arabia’s Esports World Cup Foundation in a three-year partnership.

This collaboration promises over 1,000 esports events for 2024 alone, featuring the immensely popular titles PUBG MOBILE and Honor of Kings.

The partnership was officially unveiled at a signing ceremony in the presence of HRH Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud, Chairman of the Saudi Esports Federation, alongside Vincent Wang, General Manager of Global Publishing and Global Esports at Tencent Games, and Ralf Reichert, CEO of the Esports World Cup Foundation.

Big Prize Pools Announced

PUBG MOBILE has unveiled its new co-branded world cup event with the Esports World Cup, boasting an incredible US$3 million prize pool.

Not to be outdone, the Honor of Kings’ midseason invitational event, also taking place at the Esports World Cup, will feature an equally impressive bounty.

Where Will the Action Unfold?

The highly anticipated August event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will witness 12 teams battling it out for supremacy in the PUBG MOBILE and Honor of Kings tournaments.

This event follows the ongoing Honor of Kings tournament “Intercontinental Invitational” in Turkey, where 8 teams are currently competing to advance to the next round.

The winner of this event will directly advance to the Midseason Invitational taking place at the Esports World Cup 2024.

Saudi Arabia’s Esports Vision

The partnership aligns with Saudi Arabia’s ambitious plans for the Esports World Cup, announced by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz in October last year.

The event is a cornerstone of the country’s commitment to developing the esports and gaming sectors as pillars of its economy.

The Esports World Cup boasts a unique cross-game setup, where top athletes from different game titles will compete against each other in an eight-week-long event organized by the Esports World Cup Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to developing the esports and gaming sectors.

Currently, 8 titles are officially announced for this event:

  1. Counter-Strike 2
  2. Dota 2
  3. StarCraft II
  4. Honor of Kings
  5. Mobile Legends: Bang Bang
  6. Free Fire
  7. PUBG Mobile
  8. Rainbow Six Siege
