miHoYo’s new live service game Honkai: Star Rail has achieved a remarkable feat, surpassing 100 million downloads globally in less than a year since launching in April 2023.
This rapid growth demonstrates miHoYo’s expertise in developing highly successful ongoing games.
In an announcement, miHoYo revealed Honkai: Star Rail has been downloaded over 100 million times across all platforms, including PC, iOS, Android, and PlayStation 5.
Hitting this target took less than 10 months from the game’s release, showcasing its incredible popularity.
The studio also added support for the newly launched Apple Vision Pro headset through a special Compatibility Mode, potentially appealing to enthusiasts who own the high-end device.
However, it’s unclear how downloads are divided between platforms but Mobile downloads seem to be taking the lead.
Estimates show Honkai: Star Rail’s mobile version lifetime installs stand at 39.9 million (via AppMagic).

One month after launch, IAP revenue topped $130 million globally, with China, Japan, the US, South Korea, and Taiwan as the top markets.
By September, research firm Naavik reported the game had crossed $1 billion in mobile revenue.
In related news, miHoYo’s Genshin Impact recently surpassed $5 billion in iOS and Android player spending, becoming the fastest mobile game ever to hit this milestone. It now leads other big hits like Clash of Clans, Monster Strike, and Honor of Kings.
