Call of Duty MW3 Gets Creative with Anti-Cheat System Splat: Drop Hackers from the Sky

We’ve all been there.

You drop into a match of Warzone, gear up, get ready for an intense battle royale…then immediately get beamed from across the map by some loser hacker.

So frustrating!

Well my fellow Call of Duty MW3 comrades, today we feast on sweet justice.

Activision’s Team Ricochet has invented some creatively evil anti-cheat punishments to crush the dreams of filthy cheaters.

Read on for the juicy details!

“Splat” – Bye Bye Parachutes!

Last year back in November Ricochet’s anti-cheat added a new system fittingly named “Splat.”

And it delivers exactly what you’d expect.

When a cheater is detected mid-flight, Splat can randomly disable their parachute without warning, sending them hurtling hilariously to their death.

No more gentle floatdowns for hackers!

As the devs put it: “With Splat, if a cheater is discovered, we may randomly, and for fun, disable their parachute sending them careening into the ground after they deploy.”

Ouch! But also…haha serves you right!

Splatting Grounded Cheaters Too

But what if cheeky cheaters survive the parachute prank?

No worries, Splat has other nasty tricks up its sleeve!

If hacking losers somehow make it to the ground intact, Splat alters their movement speed to instantly transform harmless bunny hops into suicidal 10,000 foot plummets.

Boom – game over for cheaters!

These mid-match mitigations confirm shady activity is occurring before fatally pummeling cheaters.

So you can rest easy knowing Splat won’t affect innocent players accidentally.

But for verified hackers?

All bets are off.

Rest in pieces cheater scum!

Cheaters Cry After Getting Splat

To see Splat’s hilarious hacker punishment in action, search “Warzone Splat anti cheat” on any video site.

Footage shows whiny cheaters crying on stream as they get yeeted from the sky or off small ledges repeatedly.

Recently one streamer named “Destowed” tweeted “why they victimizing me?” after getting hammered by Splat over and over.

Claiming innocence of course. Suuuure buddy!

Splat spares no mercy for slimy hackers.

Watch them weep!

The Future Looks Bright

Beyond zany anti-cheat mechanics like Splat, Team Ricochet continues improving prevention capabilities including:

  • Better account security safeguards
  • Identifying stolen accounts
  • Proactive ban waves (80,000+ accounts barred from Modern Warfare 3 already!)
  • Stronger encryption against cheat software
  • And also keep your privacy intact

Multiple anti-cheat layers will lock out hackers for good.

Consider your skies and grounds safe once again fellow Call of Duty soldiers!

But if any rogue cheaters do slip in somehow, rest assured they’ll have a brief, terrifying skydiving trip with no happy ending. Splat!
