Nvidia Supercharges GeForce Now Cloud Gaming with G-Sync

Nvidia Supercharges GeForce Now Cloud Gaming with G-Sync, New Memberships

Cloud gaming promises high-end PC gaming without the need for expensive hardware.

And Nvidia is determined to make its GeForce Now service the most feature-rich streaming platform out there.

The company just revealed a slate of enhancements coming soon in CES 2024, including long-awaited G-Sync support, Reflex tech, a one-day pass, and expanded device and game support.

Let’s break down what these new capabilities will bring to the table.

Smoothing Out the Experience with Cloud G-Sync

For years, Nvidia’s G-Sync tech has allowed compatible gaming monitors to dynamically match their refresh rate to the framerate of games.

This prevents screen tearing and stuttering for a buttery smooth experience.

Now, G-Sync is coming to GeForce Now so streaming games can take full advantage of variable refresh rate (VRR) monitors.

By synchronizing the monitor with the streaming framerate, G-Sync will help reduce latency and smooth out frame pacing

Whether you’re playing at 60fps or all the way up to 240fps with GeForce Now’s RTX 4080 tier, G-Sync support means fluid, tear-free visuals.

It’s a big step towards matching the responsiveness of gaming on local hardware.

Faster Response Times with Enhanced Nvidia Reflex

In addition to G-Sync, Nvidia is expanding Reflex technology on GeForce Now.

Reflex uses AI to optimize system latency for competitive multiplayer titles

It will now work in 4K and high-framerate 60/120fps streaming modes

Combined with VRR displays, the enhanced Reflex toolkit provides lightning-fast response times so you can frag with precision.

More Display and Device Options

GeForce Now is about flexibility, and upcoming additions reflect that.

A new 1440p streaming mode on Android is ideal for tablets and phones with higher-resolution panels.

You’ll also be able to output Android streams to external 1440p and 4K monitors or TVs

This effectively transforms phones and tablets into powerful cloud gaming rigs minus the bulky setup.

Accessible Entry Points with Day Passes

For new users delighted by GeForce Now but not ready to commit, Nvidia is introducing 1-day passes.

For $7.99, you’ll get full access to the RTX 4080 tier with ray tracing, high FPS counts, and more just for one day.

Or you can spend $3.99 to try the standard priority membership.

It’s a great way for prospective members to experience everything GeForce Now offers before subscribing.

More Games and Global Expansion

And GeForce Now’s game library continues to grow thanks to partnerships with Microsoft and Activision Blizzard.

Major upcoming titles like Diablo IV and Overwatch 2 will be available soon.

They will be joined by Call Of Duty, Honkai: Star Rail, Exoprimal, and Pax Dei.

Support for Battle.net is incoming too.

GeForce Now data centers are also launching in Japan and expanding to more countries across the globe.
