Summerhouse Confirms Steam Demo and March 2024 Launch

Indie gaming fans, get ready to chill out with the cozy neighborhood-builder Summerhouse

Developer Friedemann recently revealed that Summerhouse will get a free demo during the upcoming Steam Next Fest running February 5-12, giving players a relaxing sneak peek before the full game drops in March 2024.

Summerhouse

Chill Vibes and Creative Freedom

Summerhouse aims to capture the essence of carefree summer days through its warm, inviting art style and tranquil gameplay.

As described by Friedemann, Summerhouse is “a small-scale building game and a love letter to the feeling of long-lost summer afternoons.”

Players will slowly construct an idyllic neighborhood full of charming, miniature homes.

With settings ranging from seaside to mountainside, you’re free to build to your heart’s content without rules or objectives beyond relaxation and creativity.

While some secrets are sprinkled throughout the world, Summerhouse isn’t about winning or losing.

It’s a cozy, low-key game for those who enjoy the art of building virtual spaces and soaking up good vibes.

Downloading the Free Demo

From February 5-12, you can download a demo version of Summerhouse on Steam to get a preview of the chill building gameplay.

The free demo will be part of the upcoming Steam Next Fest, a festival that lets players try out upcoming indie games.

The Summerhouse demo will be limited compared to the full version released in March.

But it will give you a solid feel for the calming creative freedom that has made this game so anticipated since its announcement last year.

Releasing March 8, 2024

After the Steam Next Fest demo, you’ll only have to wait about a month until the full release of Summerhouse on March 8, 2024.

This launch date reveal lines up perfectly with Friedemann’s plan to release the game in early 2024.
