The Champion of Champions Tour (CCT) for Counter-Strike 2 has unveiled the juicy details for its massive 2024 Global Finals event.
Teams will be battling it out online from May 16-24 for a prize pool of $500,000!
How Many Teams Will Compete?
A total of 16 elite Counter-Strike squads will clash at the CCT Global Finals 2024.
11 of those teams have already qualified through previous CCT studio and online finals events.
The other five spots will go to directly invited teams, with the full invited list expected in the next week.
What is the Format?
The CCT Global Finals 2024 will be an online tournament taking place on May 16-24th.
However, the team list is subject to change due to potential roster issues.
The organizers will want to ensure all qualified teams can field their full lineups.
What is the History of the Counter-Strike CCT Circuit?
The Champions of Champions Tour was first announced for Counter-Strike in the summer of 2022 when organizers GRID unveiled the 18-month circuit spanning the Americas and Europe regions.
GRID partnered with FACEIT, Eden Esports, Relog Media, Fantyasyexpo, and Black Molly Entertainment to collaborate with local tourney organizers.
Together they hosted the $1.8 million online cup stage, followed by 11 offline studio finals events.
In total CCT boasts a prize pool of over $3.4 million.
And now after almost over a year, the circuit will culminate with the $500k Global Finals in May 2024.
