Warhorse Studios announced that its medieval RPG, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, has surpassed 8 million copies sold worldwide since its release in 2018.
The milestone was revealed on November 4, highlighting the steady growth in the game’s sales. Notably, Kingdom Come: Deliverance added 2 million copies to its total sales in just the last nine months, underlining its sustained appeal in the competitive gaming market.

Strategic Sales Boosts in 2024
The year 2024 has been particularly fruitful for the title, thanks to strategic pricing and promotional efforts. The game saw a surge in interest following regular discounts and special events. For example, in April, Kingdom Come peaked at over 21,000 concurrent players on Steam, shortly after the announcement of its sequel and an 80% discount. Additionally, a free weekend and a record 90% discount in late August further boosted its player base.
Looking Ahead: The Sequel Awaits
Warhorse Studios is now preparing for the highly anticipated Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, set to release on February 11, 2025. The sequel, a direct continuation of the 2018 original, will be published by Deep Silver, a subsidiary of Plaion. All three entities—Warhorse, Plaion, and Deep Silver—are part of the Embracer Group, showcasing a strong collaborative network.
Founded in 2011, Warhorse Studios is led by industry veterans like Creative director Daniel Vávra, known for his work on the Mafia series, and executive producer Martin Klíma, famed for ArmA and Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising. Acquired by Plaion in 2019 for €42.8 million, Warhorse remains a key player in the RPG genre.
