The Game Awards 2023: Complete List of Nominations and Categories

The Game Awards 2023 is one of the biggest awards nights of the year set to take place on December 7 in Peacock Theatre Los Angeles. The year 2023 is full of thrills and adventure for fans as many anticipated games finally hit gamers’ screens. So it’s time to celebrate for esports fans and choose the best from contenders.

This year’s nominations for The Game Awards 2023 were announced with Alan Wake 2 and Baldur’s Gate 3 leading with 8 nominations each.

Alan Wake 2’s nominations include Game of the Year, Best Action/Adventure Game, Best Game Direction, Best Art Direction, Best Narrative, Best Score and Music, Best Performance (from Melanie Liburd), and Best Sound Design.

Baldur’s Gate 3 has several similar nominations including Game of the Year, Best RPG, Best Multiplayer, Best Narrative, Best Game Direction, Best Score and Music, Best Performance (from Neil Newbon), and Best Community Support.

SpiderMan2 has been nominated for 7 awards – Best Narrative, Game of the Year, Best Audio Design, Best Game Direction, Innovation in Accessibility, Best Action/Adventure Game, and Best Performance (Yuri Lowenthal).

Xbox got no nominations in the Game of the Year category as its premier game Starfield was acclaimed by the audience. They got a total of 11 nominations in 8 categories with Starfield receiving one nomination for Best RPG.
