Recently the developer of FauG announced a new 5v5 MOBA (Multiplayer online battle arena) titled “GuruDharma: The Age of Bravery,” based on Indian ancient characters. The ambitious project is the brainchild of Indian film producers couple Ram and Amita Madhavani, the creator of the National Award-winning film “Neerja” and the Emmy-nominated series “Aarya.” The filmmakers now decided to venture into the gaming industry through their company, Equinox Virtual, in collaboration with Indian game publisher nCore Games (Developer of FauG) and Indonesian game developer Anantarupa Studios.
Story and Gameplay
Blending mythological characters into gaming is not a new concept. God of Wars, League of Legends, and The Age of Empire carry similar concepts with Greek, Chinese, and Nordic characters. But many of these games lack Indian mythological Characters and Heroes that players love to explore. GuruDharma wants to fill this void with its inspiration from Indian mythology and bring the character as per Indian taste.
It represents a bold initiative that seeks to seamlessly blend cinematic storytelling with captivating game mechanics, creating an adrenaline-pumping gaming world. At its core, Gurudharma pays homage to the brave men and women who have shaped India’s history.
In this game, players step into the shoes of ancient heroes and venture on a journey packed with thrilling adventures, challenges, and enticing rewards.

The closed beta phase is set to begin soon (probably March- April 2024), promising an exclusive preview of this exceptional Indian MOBA game.
The developer has not set a specific launch date, but the game will likely be released in 2025.
