The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences has announced nominations for the prestigious 2024 DICE Awards, celebrating the most outstanding video games of 2023.
Leading the Pack
- Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 swings into the lead with 9 nominations, including Game of the Year.
- Hot on its heels is Alan Wake 2 with 8 nods.
- Rounding out the top contenders is Baldur’s Gate 3 coming off its big wins at The Game Awards with 7 nominations.
- All three titles vie for the ceremony’s ultimate honor, Game of the Year, facing off against the artistic puzzle game COCOON and the epic sequel The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Genre Standouts
Several genre favorites also earned DICE recognition.
- Brutal fighter Mortal Kombat 1 scored nominations for fighting Game of the Year and Outstanding Achievement in Animation.
- Massively anticipated RPG sequel Diablo IV blasted its way into multiple categories including Role-Playing Game of the Year.

Who Will Win?
Winners are chosen by a confidential vote amongst the Academy’s industry expert peer panels until January 17.
