What Major Announcement Drops at the Xbox Games Showcase 2024?

Despite the absence of E3, the summer remains a pivotal season for the gaming industry, with the Xbox Games Showcase representing Microsoft’s opportunity to captivate gamers.

Since the release of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II in May and Starfield last September, Xbox has experienced a quiet period with a shortage of AAA titles.

But, the latest showcase fills that void by announcing the 30 games for the Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Xbox Game Pass.

The event also marked a significant shift as it was the first time Microsoft showcased titles from Activision Blizzard, Bethesda, and Xbox Game Studios together.

Additionally, the event unveiled three new Xbox consoles slated for release in the 2024 holiday season.

Microsoft has not yet confirmed which of its first-party titles will be ported to the PlayStation console. However, it has announced that 16 titles from its partner studios are slated for release on the PS4/PS5. Here Are they:

Three New Xbox Console

In a surprise move, Microsoft announced three new Xbox consoles set to be released during the 2024 holiday season.

Two Xbox Series X and S models are arriving with a digital-only format in Robot White color and 1TB of storage each, while the Xbox Series X Galaxy Black Special Edition will offer 2TB of storage.
