Shiro Games’ medieval open-world tactical RPG, Wartales, has reached an incredible milestone of 1 million sales on Steam. To celebrate, the developer has announced the release of its bloodiest DLC yet, The Skelmar Invasion, which will be available on PC via Steam starting Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2024. Alongside the DLC, a free update for the base game will introduce several highly anticipated features.
In The Skelmar Invasion, players will journey to Ormance, a war-torn region occupied by the formidable Skelmar forces. Players must strategize to reclaim heavily fortified baronies and rally local rebel fighters to their cause. As settlements devastated by years of conflict are restored, new progression paths for the Warband will unlock, offering deeper gameplay experiences.
The DLC brings intense siege battles, where players will lead their resistance equipped with advanced weapons and armor against well-defended enemy strongholds. However, these battles will not come easily, as new crossbow-wielding adversaries in every faction will challenge players at every turn. These deadly foes are part of the free update accompanying the DLC, ensuring fresh gameplay even for those sticking with the base game.

The Skelmar Invasion will be priced at $19.99/€19.99/£16.99, with a 10% discount available for two weeks following its launch. For newcomers, a discounted bundle including the base game and the new DLC will be offered for $33.50.
