War Robots, the mobile shooter game from My.Games and Pixonic, has crossed $1 billion in lifetime revenue across all platforms.

The achievement comes shortly after the game’s 10th anniversary celebration last year.

According to data.ai (noted by PG.Biz), this accomplishment puts War Robots in an elite group, as fewer than 100 mobile games have ever reached the billion-dollar revenue mark.

Since its launch in 2014, War Robots has attracted over 300 million players worldwide.

In 2024, the game maintained a robust player base, with up to 4.7 million active users monthly and approximately 690,000 daily participants.

The game’s success is predominantly on mobile platforms, accounting for 95% of total installations and 94% of revenue.

Android devices lead in downloads, with 212 million installs compared to 70 million on iOS.

However, revenue generation is nearly balanced between the two platforms, with Android contributing $455 million and iOS close behind at $442 million.

The United States stands as the game’s strongest market, contributing over $380 million in lifetime revenue. As per platform breakdown in the US market, iOS users generated $191 million while Android users contributed $161 million.

Other key markets include Japan, Germany, South Korea, and the UK.

A significant development in 2024 was the game’s return to the Chinese market after regaining its license. According to Appmagic, the Chinese version quickly rose to prominence, ranking among the top five vehicle shooters worldwide by revenue, while the global version secured the top position.

Pixonic’s content strategy has played a crucial role in maintaining player engagement. The studio has introduced approximately 100 new units, including weapons, robots, and pilots, while consistently hosting an average of nine in-game events annually.
