Fans of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 and Silent Hill f have reason to celebrate, as both games have recently been rated in South Korea. The Game Rating and Administration Committee (GRAC) has issued age classifications for the titles, hinting that more updates or even release announcements may be on the horizon.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is the latest adaptation of the iconic tabletop series into a PC role-playing game. Despite a rocky development history, which included changes in developers and numerous delays, the game is now being developed by The Chinese Room, known for their work on Dear Esther and Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs. The GRAC rating classifies the game as “Not available for minors,” a standard designation for mature content in South Korea.
Meanwhile, Silent Hill f, the eighth mainline installment in the beloved horror franchise, has also received the same age rating. Announced in 2022, this game takes the series in a new direction, moving away from Silent Hill’s iconic setting to rural Japan in the 1960s. Developed by NeoBards Entertainment, known for their work on Resident Evil Resistance and Re:Verse, the game is being penned by Ryūkishi07, famed for psychological and supernatural horror visual novels such as the When They Cry series.
Both games have endured long periods of silence since their announcements, but the recent ratings provide hope for fans eagerly awaiting their releases. While no official dates have been confirmed, these developments suggest progress is being made.
They join other anticipated titles like Elden Ring: Nightreign and Avowed on the South Korean ratings board.
