Felix “xQc” Lengyel, one of Twitch’s most popular streamers, disclosed that he earns a solid $6,000 per day from ads alone.
During a recent live stream, xQc responded to a viewer’s request to remove ads by saying:
“Bro, do you have any idea how much I’d lose by going live and having no ads? Do you have any idea? It’s like $6,000 a day.”
Then he went on to calculate this figure annually, which comes out at approximately $2.2 million per year from ad revenue alone.
While this calculation assumes daily streaming, which isn’t always the case, it still provides a striking insight into the potential earnings of top streamers.
Who is xQc?
xQc, born Felix Lengyel, has become a household name in the streaming community.
Starting his career as a professional Overwatch player at 19, he has since transformed into one of the most watched and influential streamers on Twitch.
Known for his aggressive, random, and often hilarious style, xQc has amassed a huge following – over 12 million on a platform.
While xQc is popular for Overwatch. he also plays a variety of games like Valorant, CS:GO, and Among Us, which also have been instrumental in his rise to fame.
His recent statement about ad revenue is significant because it provides a rare glimpse into the financial realities of top-tier streamers.
In an industry often shrouded in secrecy regarding earnings, such candid admissions are both refreshing and eye-opening.
Is xQc’s $2.2 Million Ad Revenue Claim Accurate?
While we can’t independently verify xQc’s claims, they’re not outside the realm of possibility for a streamer of his caliber. Here’s why:
In 2021, a Twitch leak revealed that xQc made $8.4 million on the platform in 2019. This figure included not just ad revenue, but also income from subscriptions, bits, and donations.
Moreover, in June 2023, xQc signed a non-exclusive deal with Kick, a rival streaming platform of Twitch, reportedly worth up to $100 million.
This deal significantly boosted his earning potential and net worth, which various sources estimate to be between $50 to $100 million.
Why Does xQc Continue to Run Ads Despite His Wealth?
Continuing his stream, xQc mentioned that he had removed some of ads, humorously claiming he’s “so charitable and cool.” However, he explained the reasons for continuing to run ads:
- Pre-roll ads are “Twitch-certified” and can’t be removed without losing partnership status
- Removing partnership would mean losing the subscriber button and potentially harming chat quality
“They’re literally Twitch-certified,” The only way to remove those ads would be to remov emy partnership. So that would mean I wouldn’t have a subscriber button anymore, and then the chat would become complete dogshit. So we’re not doing that.”
