Tundra Esports wins BLAST Slam II, sweeping Gaimin Gladiators 3-0 in the grand finals on February 10, 2025. The tournament, held from February 4 to 9 at the BLAST Studio in Copenhagen, Denmark, featured ten top Dota 2 teams competing for a $1 million prize pool.
Tundra dominated the competition, securing their second straight tournament victory since adding Anton “dyrachyo” Shkredov and Bozhidar “bzm” Bogdanov to the roster. They claimed the top prize of $300,000, along with an additional $100,000 in team earnings.
Their opponents, Gaimin Gladiators, finished as runners-up, earning $200,000. This marked their best performance of 2025 so far after struggling in the season’s early stages.
Tundra entered the playoffs directly in the semifinals after a strong 3-1 group stage performance. They defeated Nigma Galaxy 2-1 to reach the grand finals. Similarly, Gaimin Gladiators also topped their group with a 3-1 record and swept Team Falcons 2-0 in the semifinals to secure their spot in the final showdown.
In the grand finals, Tundra displayed complete dominance. Game 1 featured Dyrachyo on Gyrocopter and bzm on Tiny, with support from Martin “Saksa” Sazdov on Bounty Hunter and Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon on Pugna. A crucial teamfight at the 17-minute mark shifted momentum in Tundra’s favor, and they secured the first game with a commanding 33,000 net worth lead in just 33 minutes.
Game 2 saw Tundra draft Dyrachyo on Dragon Knight and 33 on Doom, providing a strong frontline, while bzm’s Invoker and Whitemon’s Phoenix controlled fights from afar. Gaimin Gladiators kept up in kills but struggled against Tundra’s superior map control, conceding defeat in under 40 minutes.
The final game was a one-sided affair, with Tundra achieving a dominant 37-7 kill lead in just 25 minutes. Bzm’s Ember Spirit was the standout performer, securing 13 kills and 11 assists with only one death. 33 and Saksa combined for 15 kills and 34 assists without dying, sealing the 3-0 sweep.
