The Triple-i Initiative is coming back for its second showcase in 2025, bringing indie game fans a stream of new announcements and gameplay reveals.

After a successful first event in 2024, this year’s showcase will continue the same format—focusing purely on games without hosts, ads, or sponsors.

A teaser trailer released on March 11 confirms the event is “coming soon,” though no exact date has been announced yet. Based on last year’s timing, many expect it might happen sometime this spring, similar to the April 10 event from 2024.

According to Benjamin Laulan, Evil Empire’s COO, they’re sticking with what worked well the first time around: “We’re still newbies in this whole ‘video game showcase business’, so our goal with the second edition is not to try to fix something that isn’t broken. The show was well-received last year so we stuck to the same short and impactful formula while making it bigger and better of course!

The upcoming showcase promises to deliver back-to-back game announcements from both established studios and newcomers. The teaser already confirms several titles will be featured, including Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core, The Alters, Endless Legend 2, No, I’m Not A Human, and Enshrouded.

The first Triple-i showcase in 2024 was quite successful, featuring over 30 game announcements, including popular titles like Slay the Spire 2 and The Rogue Prince of Persia. The event also included updates from games like Risk of Rain 2, Palworld, and Vampire Survivors. These announcements helped the showcase gather more than 13 million views and achieve a remarkable 99.97% positive rating on YouTube.

Interestingly, the Triple-i Initiative began as a simple idea for Evil Empire to announce The Rogue Prince of Persia but quickly grew into a larger event where similar small studios could showcase their upcoming projects to fans.

This year’s showcase will not feature big games, but the organizer promises it will be a fun ride. “This year, Evil Empire doesn’t have a flashy new game to unveil (sorry!), but since we loved making the show, we want to keep the party going for everyone anyway,” explains Bérenger Dupré, Evil Empire’s Marketing Director. “Dropping all these announcements from our corner of the gaming world in one big blast makes sure the entire show is fun to watch for our players, and for us too!

Several game development studios are confirmed to participate, including Shiro Games, 11 bit Studios, and Amplitude Studios, with more expected to join.

Gaming fans can watch the showcase when it airs on multiple platforms, including YouTube, Twitch, and Steam.
