Riot Games has officially announced that the Teamfight Tactics (TFT) Paris Open will take place in December 2025, marking the return of the game’s largest competitive and community event to Europe. This announcement comes just ahead of the TFT Macao Open, which draws thousands of competitors and fans eager to witness the second edition of this exciting tournament series.
Tournament Format & Access:
- Features an open bracket format
- Players can purchase competitor slots to participate
- Limited to 512 player slots
This format first debuted at the TFT Vegas Open in 2023 and continues to be a hit at the TFT Macao Open, where tickets for the 512-player competition sold out within minutes with over 2,000 hopeful participants rushing to claim their spots.
The European region has consistently showcased strong talent in TFT competitions. During the inaugural Vegas Open, four European players made it to the final table of eight, with French competitor Emre “Double61” Demirtas securing an impressive fifth-place finish. With the Paris Open taking place on home soil, European players are expected to bring even more energy and determination to the stage.
Paris has a rich history of hosting prestigious Riot Games tournaments, including the League of Legends Worlds Finals in 2019 and the Worlds Semifinals in 2024. Michael Sherman, Global Head of Esports for TFT and 2XKO, expressed his excitement about the upcoming event. “We’re thrilled to bring our biggest esports event of the year to Paris. The city has an incredible legacy of hosting major Riot competitions and global sporting events, making it a natural choice for our first TFT Open in Europe. With so much talent across the continent, we can’t wait to see European players competing closer to home.”
Beyond the main competition, the TFT Paris Open will feature a range of activities designed to engage both players and fans. Attendees can look forward:
- Developer panel discussions
- Meet-and-greet opportunities with community members
- Exclusive merchandise available
Stay tuned for more updates as the event approaches.
