Team Liquid Claims Victory at 1win Series Dota 2 Fall Tournament

Team Liquid, already riding high from their recent “The International 2024” championship win, has just added another trophy to their collection. The team won the 1win Series Dota 2 Fall tournament, a four-day online event that brought together top teams from Europe and the CIS regions.

The tournament structure featured an initial group stage with eight teams divided into two groups, followed by single-elimination playoffs. This format ensured that only the most consistent teams made it to the final stages. Team Liquid’s path to victory included topping Group A with a perfect 2-0 record before navigating through the playoff bracket.

Group Stage:

Group A Standings:

  • Team Liquid 2-0
  • Gaimin Gladiators 2-1
  • Nigma Galaxy 1-2
  • Team Secret 0-2

Group B Standings:

  • Team Spirit 2-0
  • PARIVISION 2-1
  • 1win Team 1-2
  • OG 0-2

Playoffs:

Semifinals:

  • Team Liquid 2 – PARIVISION 1
  • Team Spirit 2 – Gaimin Gladiators 0

The tournament’s final day featured intense matchups between four powerhouse teams: Team Liquid, Team Spirit, Gaimin Gladiators, and PARIVISION. With a substantial $100,000 prize pool at stake, every team brought their A-game to the competition.

In the best-of-five grand finals, Team Liquid stunned the previous 1win Series champions, Team Spirit with a commanding 3-0 sweep.

For third place, Gaimin Gladiators faced off against PARIVISION in what turned out to be a decisive matchup. Despite PARIVISION’s previous strong showing against Gaimin Gladiators in DreamLeague Season 2, the Riyadh Masters 2024 champions demonstrated their superiority with a clean 2-0 victory.

$100,000 USD is distributed among the top 4 players as seen below:

  1. 1st: $50,000: Team Liquid
  2. 2nd: $30,000: Team Spirit
  3. 3rd: $15,000: Gaimin Gladiators
  4. 4th: $5,000: PARIVISION

This victory marks another milestone in the 1win Series Dota 2 tournaments for 2024, following Entity’s triumph in the Spring edition and Team Spirit’s victory in the Summer event.
