STREET FIGHTER IV: CE Soft-launched on Netflix Games

Street Fighter IV: Champion Edition

Street Fighter IV: Champion Edition has been soft-launched on Netflix Games on March 2, 2025.

This means the game is now available in select regions—like the Philippines or others—before a wider global rollout, a common strategy Netflix uses to test and refine its game releases. (Thanks to What’s on Netflix)

Developed by Capcom, this version brings the classic arcade fighting experience to mobile devices, optimized with updated gameplay and visuals. It features a roster of 32 iconic characters, such as Ryu, Chun-Li, and Ken, each with unique moves and combos.

The Netflix port includes online multiplayer with first-time cross-play between iOS and Android, alongside single-player modes like Arcade and Survival with four difficulty levels.

There are no ads or in-app purchases, aligning with Netflix’s gaming model, and you’ll need an active subscription to play.

While the full global release date hasn’t been announced, soft launches typically precede broader availability by a month or two, so players outside test regions might see it soon.

This move adds to Netflix’s growing gaming lineup, following titles like Civilization VI and reflecting their push into high-profile mobile gaming.
