Skyesports Confirms 2025 CS2 Circuit with Four High-Stakes Tournaments

Skyesports 2025 CS2 Roadmap

Skyesports, one of India’s leading esports organizers, has announced its 2025 tournament schedule for Counter-Strike 2 (CS2), unveiling four major events with a total prize pool of $1.75 million.

In response to Valve’s new regulations requiring tournament organizers to reveal their Tier 1 events well in advance, Skyesports has provided a detailed roadmap for its 2025 CS2 tournaments. The lineup includes:

  • Skyesports Souvenir 2025: Feb 17th to 23rd, 2025 ($250,000 – Tier 2)
  • Skyesports Masters 2025: May 26th to June 1st, 2025 ($500,000 – Tier 1)
  • Skyesports Championship 2025: Sept 15th to 21st, 2025 ($500,000 – Tier 1)
  • Skyesports World Tour 2025: Nov 10th to 16th, 2025 ($500,000 – Tier 1)

Skyesports has made it clear that the Tier 2 event, Skyesports Souvenir 2025, will not include an open qualifier. In contrast, all Tier 1 events will feature open qualifiers (following Valve’s Rulebook), giving up to 256 teams the opportunity to compete for the substantial prize money on offer.

Skyesports has also disclosed the prize distribution for each tier:

Tier 1

  • 1st place: $200,000
  • 2nd place: $100,000
  • 3rd-4th place: $60,000 each
  • 5th-8th place: $20,000 each

Tier 2

  • 1st place: $100,000
  • 2nd place: $50,000
  • 3rd place: $35,000
  • 4th place: $25,000
  • 5th-6th place: $12,500 each
  • 7th-8th place: $7,500 each

This move by Skyesports aligns with Valve’s recent changes to the CS2 licensing rules, which will take effect in 2025. These changes dismantle exclusive leagues and partnerships between teams and organizers, promoting a more open ecosystem.

One of the key requirements under the new rules is for organizers to disclose their event schedules well in advance. The deadline for the 2025 events announcement is September 1st, 2024, while for the 2026 events, it is January 1st, 2025.

Other major organizers, including ESL, BLAST, PGL, Yalla Esports, and the returning StarLadder, have also made their schedules public recently.
