As per the latest financial reports of Q1 of FY 2024-2025, Resident Evil has now become Capcom’s biggest IP, boasting a staggering 160 million total sales. This milestone comes on the heels of recent successes like the Resident Evil 4 remake and Resident Evil Village.
Resident Evil 4 remake has sold an impressive 7.6 million units worldwide since its launch in March 2023. This success puts the game on track to potentially overtake Resident Evil Village as the fastest-selling title in the series. For context, Village managed to sell 10 million units within three years of its release, a feat that set a high bar for the series.
