PVS Gaming emerged victorious in the returning Skyesports Free Fire Max Pro League 2025 on Sunday. The team secured the top spot with 129 points across eight matches, earning a prize of ₹5 lakh from the tournament’s total prize pool of ₹15 lakh.
The tournament marks a significant milestone in the Indian esports scene, where Free Fire esports has made a comeback after the game was banned in 2022.
PVS Gaming delivered a stellar performance with 70 eliminations and one Booyah (victory), beating out tough competition from other top teams.
Desi RNX claimed the runner-up position with 105 points, taking home ₹2.5 lakh in prize money. HTG Esports rounded out the podium with 100 points, earning ₹1.25 lakh for their efforts.
The tournament featured a unique “Champion Rush” format in the Grand Finals. However, none of the teams managed to secure a Booyah after reaching the designated Champion Rush Point, resulting in the winner being determined based on overall points accumulated throughout the Finals.
Team Elite secured the fourth position with 98 points, with their star player Pahadi Gamer delivering exceptional performances that earned him the “Predator” award and a cash prize of ₹10,000. TSG Army, who had impressed audiences during the Knockout Stage, finished fifth with 95 points.
Team Vasiyo finished ninth with 69 points, but their performance wasn’t without highlight. Their star player Anshu was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament, earning a special prize of ₹20,000 for his outstanding skills.

A New Chapter for Free Fire Esports in India
The Skyesports Pro League Free Fire Masters 2025 represents an important development for Free Fire esports in India. After the game was banned in 2022, Garena attempted to reintroduce a localized version called Free Fire India. However, due to regulatory restrictions, these efforts were unsuccessful. The company then pivoted to using the international version of the game, Free Fire MAX, to keep the competitive scene alive.
This tournament has revitalized interest in Free Fire esports within India, creating opportunities for teams and players to showcase their talents on a professional stage once again.
