PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2024: Teams, Dates, and the Road to the Grand Finals

The 2024 PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC), one of the biggest tournaments in PUBG Mobile esports, is set to launch its League Stage on October 31.

This highly anticipated event will feature 48 elite teams from around the globe competing for a share of the impressive $3 million prize pool.

For the first time, the PMGC will be hosted in the United Kingdom, with the Grand Finals taking place at the ExCeL Centre in London from December 6 to 8.

Tournament Format of PMGC 2024

League Stage (October 31 – November 17)

48 Teams will compete in group-stage matches over four weeks in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. These teams will be divided into three distinct groups:

  • Yellow Group
  • Red Group
  • Green Group

Each group will compete separately in 24 matches, with Yellow Group leading the charge, followed by Red and Green Groups. The stakes are high, as:

  • Top 3 teams from each group advance directly to the Grand Finals
  • Next 8 teams qualify for the Survival Stage
  • Bottom 5 teams face elimination

Survival Stage (November 20 – 22)

This second-chance round features 24 teams competing in 3 groups of 8.

Each group plays 6 matches per day for a total of 18 matches across 3 days in a Round-Robin format.

Top 16 teams advance to the Last Chance while the Bottom 8 teams are eliminated.

Last Chance (November 23 – 24)

The final qualifying round determines the last six teams to secure their spots in the Grand Finals.

16 teams advanced from Survival Stage will compete in 12 matches.

Grand Finals: December 6 – 8

Then all 15 teams (9 teams from Group Stage and 6 teams from Last Chance) will travel to London where they meet 1 Host Region directly invited team.

In total 16 teams will then compete in 18 matches (6 each day) to decide until we get the PMGC winner.
