Pokémon TCG Pocket has soared to 100 million downloads worldwide since its global release on October 30th, 2024.

To celebrate this huge milestone, developer DeNA has released a new expansion called “Triumphant Light” today. This fourth booster pack brings the powerful Mythical Pokémon Arceus from the Sinnoh region as a featured Pokémon ex card.

We would like to announce that Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket has reached over 100 million downloads worldwide,” DeNA shared in their announcement. “Thank you to everyone who has tried out the game.

To celebrate Pokémon Day, TCG Pocket is offering players free special booster packs containing rare cards from February 27th to April 29th, 2025. Additionally, special missions will be available until March 26th, 2025, giving players more ways to earn rewards.

The game isn’t just winning with downloads – it’s making serious money too. According to AppMagic estimates, Pokémon TCG Pocket has already raked in over $500 million since launch. After a bit of a slowdown in December, January’s “Space-Time Smackdown” event featuring Dialga and Palkia pushed daily revenue past $10 million for the first time.

Looking ahead, DeNA has promised that Ranked Matches are coming in March 2025, though they’re keeping the details under wraps for now. “We are continuing to develop and operate the game so that everyone can enjoy it even more,” the developer said, promising more booster packs and events in the future.

The new “Triumphant Light” expansion adds exciting features like unique Link Abilities for certain Pokémon, new Trainer cards, and some seriously cool card designs.
