Tournament organizer PGL has revealed an ambitious plan for four major Dota 2 events scheduled throughout 2027, each offering a $1 million prize pool. The announcement comes unusually early, with the first event still more than two years away.
According to PGL’s official announcement, the four tournaments will be spread across the year, giving teams and fans multiple high-stakes competitions to look forward to. The schedule includes:
- PGL Dota 2 Event 1: March 2-14, 2027
- PGL Dota 2 Event 2: May 11-23, 2027
- PGL Dota 2 Event 3: October 19-31, 2027
- PGL Dota 2 Event 4: November 16-28, 2027
Announcing tournaments this far in advance helps PGL secure commitments from top teams, who can now plan their competitive schedules years ahead. With each event offering substantial prize money, these tournaments will likely attract the elite of competitive Dota 2.
PGL has established itself as a major player in Dota 2 esports, having previously organized prestigious events like the Kyiv Major and Arlington Major 2022. The company is currently preparing for PGL Wallachia Season 1 in 2025, with plans already in place for subsequent seasons in 2026.
Additional details about venues, qualifying procedures, and format will be shared as they become available.
